The whole of southern Öland from Färjestaden southwards is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Some of the best-known World Heritage Sites are the Pyramids at Gize and the Taj Mahal in India. However, not only buildings become World Heritage Sites natural features such as the rain forest in Honduras and the Grand Canyon in the USA are also on the World Heritage List. |
